Guessroo

The Best Daily Number Guessing Games (2026)

The best free daily games where you guess a number are estimation games: you guess a size, weight, distance, speed, year or price, and score points for getting close. Good picks include Guessroo's five games (Sizeroo, Farroo, Weighroo, Speedroo and Yearroo), Magnitudle, TimeGuessr, WhenTaken and Costcodle. All are free in a web browser, with a new puzzle every day.

A quick note before the list

We make Guessroo, so five of these games are ours. We list them first, then the other games we like, and we describe every game by what it actually asks you to do. Lists like PC Gamer's "games like Wordle" cover word, math and geography games well, but none of the 16 games on it is a size or number estimation game, which is why we wrote this one.

Guessroo's five daily games

Each game gives everyone the same 5 questions a day, takes about a minute, and scores up to 100 points per question for getting close, so even a rough guess earns something. After each guess you see the real answer, a short fact and a comparison you can picture. There is no account, and every answer has its own page.

Sizeroo: how big is it?

Guess the size of 5 real things, from a human hair to the distance to the Moon, on a scale where every step is ten times the last. Within 10% of the real size scores 100 points.

Farroo: how far apart are they?

Two places appear on a world map and you guess the straight-line distance between them, in miles or kilometers. It is stricter than the others: within 5% scores 100.

Weighroo: how heavy is it?

From a grain of sand to the Great Pyramid, guess the weight in pounds and tons (or kilograms).

Speedroo: how fast does it go?

From a garden snail to the speed of light, guess the speed in mph (or km/h).

Yearroo: when did it happen?

Drag a marker along a timeline to the year of 5 famous events, from inventions to pop culture. The exact year or one year off scores 100.

More daily number and estimation games

Magnitudle

Several unrelated sites use this name; these are the two we know best. Magnitudle.org asks you to resize a silhouette or estimate real-world sizes and weights, with a daily puzzle and a weekly challenge. Magnitudle.com asks one quantity question a day and scores you on how many orders of magnitude you are off. If you like Sizeroo or Weighroo, both are worth a try.

TimeGuessr

TimeGuessr shows historic photos and asks where and when each was taken: you pin a map and pick a year. It is the best known of the photo-dating games.

WhenTaken

WhenTaken, from the makers of Worldle, works the same way: pin the place on a map and slide to the year, from 1860 to today.

Costcodle

Costcodle shows a Costco product and gives you 6 tries to guess its price, with higher or lower hints after each one.

Wikitrivia

Wikitrivia deals you cards of events and inventions, and you place each one in order on a timeline, with 3 lives. It has a daily mode and free play, and it pairs well with Yearroo.

Close cousins: math and map games

These are not estimation games, but people who enjoy guessing numbers often play them too.

  • Nerdle: find the hidden math equation in 6 tries, Wordle style.
  • Worldle: name the country from its outline in 6 tries, with distance and direction hints.
  • Globle: find the mystery country on a globe; closer guesses show warmer colors.
  • Travle: connect two countries by naming the countries in between.

How to choose

  • You like science and nature facts: Sizeroo, Weighroo, Speedroo or Magnitudle.
  • You like maps: Farroo, then Worldle or Globle.
  • You like history: Yearroo and Wikitrivia for events, TimeGuessr and WhenTaken for photos.
  • You want a quick laugh at prices: Costcodle.
  • You teach: one estimation game a day makes a five-minute warm-up that builds number sense.
